Quantum Domain Score (QDS) describes the intrinsic quality profile of a domain name. It evaluates branding power, memorability, language, structure, extension quality, commercial usefulness, future relevance, semantic strength, scarcity and end-user fit. Reported sale prices, current asking prices and buyer offers are deliberately excluded from the QDS calculation.

01 · QDS

Domain quality

QDS is the quality layer. It is designed to remain stable when an asking price changes or when a particular buyer pays an unusual price.

02 · QDV

Theoretical value range

QDV places domain quality into market context using reported comparable sales and market regimes. It produces a range rather than a promised transaction price.

03 · ASKING

Seller strategy

The asking price is a commercial position. It may intentionally exceed the central theoretical value and can be manually overridden without changing QDS.

QDS is continuous. No artificial “Premium at 90” threshold is imposed by the production framework. A higher QDS indicates a stronger overall quality profile under the same frozen scoring rules.

The 1000-point engine.

The public 0–100 QDS is the internal 1000-point score divided by ten. Each criterion has a fixed maximum; those maxima are part of the frozen framework and are not adjusted to make individual portfolio domains look better.

Semantic meaning without score inflation.

Many QuantumDomains names deliberately carry more than one possible interpretation. QDS can recognize genuine wordplay and technical ambiguity, but only when the domain string itself supports that interpretation.

Read the string

Exact roots, abbreviations, extension context and frozen controlled orthographic transformations are identified first.

Resolve supported meaning

Productive ambiguity can strengthen Semantic Strength or Brand Strength when the readings are plausible and coherent.

Keep intent separate

If a meaning comes only from a sales text or internal concept and cannot be recovered from the string, it remains explanatory metadata and creates no automatic QDS points.

QDS may inform QDV.

Quality can be used later as one input into theoretical valuation. A valuation result is not allowed to rewrite quality.

NO TARGET TUNING

No desired-score adjustment.

Criteria are not moved merely because a preferred asking price or a particularly impressive comparable would look better.

NO DOUBLE COUNTING

One property, one fair effect.

The framework contains anti-double-counting and anti-multiple-penalty rules so the same strength or weakness is not repeatedly rewarded or punished.

What QDS does not claim.

QDS is not a sale-price prediction. A real transaction can be strongly affected by buyer-specific strategic fit, budget, timing, negotiation, venue, financing and scarcity at the moment of sale. Those factors cannot be inferred reliably from the domain string. QDS therefore remains a quality reference. The separate QDV layer provides a theoretical market-value range, while the asking price remains a seller decision.
